Who We Are

We are KUSA registered breeders of show quality Irish Red Setter puppies in Johannesburg, Gauteng,  South Africa.  We only breed occasionally and always with the aim of maintaining and improving the wonderful temperament and captivating beauty of the breed.

Much loved family companions, our dogs are an endless source of delight and amusement to us. We enjoy showing and obedience training with them, but our favourite activity is taking long walks in Emmerentia Park together.

What We Do

Although Irish Setters are generally a healthy breed, our breeding stock is screened for CLAD (Canine Leukocyte Adhesion Deficiency), PRA rcd 1 (Progressive Retinal Atrophy rcd 1) and LOPRA rcd 4 (Late Onset Progressive Retinal Atrophy rcd 4). They have clear eye examination certificates and are hip and elbow scored.

In addition to this, we usually only breed from dogs that have proved themselves in the showring for quality and soundness.

Lastly, but most importantly, when breeding, we aim to maintain the typical Irish Setter high spirited intelligence and good natured, frolicking temperament!
